Little Changes To Make 2016 Better!


I hate when you have them days where you feel really down and feel really lazy. In 2016 I want to make the year count, and not sit around all day doing nothing or watching my favourite tv show.
Don't get me wrong I'm not going to be going full out and take big risks that are out of my comfort zone, I am only going to take small steps. I think gradually if you start doing something that is productive but small at the same time it becomes something that you do all of the time like a daily or weekly habit. That is what I am going to try and do for this year and when it becomes a habit I will make some more changes. So here are some of the ways where I or you could change your life in 2016.

 1.) Keep a diary. I think writing a diary or journal is so helpful to put your thoughts somewhere instead of being in your mind ALL of the time! I am such an over-thinker and when I did start a little diary last year I found it help so much. If you don't feel like writing a essay everyday, then you can get different kinds of diaries such as the one above, Q&A a day. This journal is amazing because it asks you a question everyday for a year but then gives you another four lines for the next year four years. So basically you write an answer for one question for five years. Does that make sense? Probably not but I love it and it is a really good way to look back on your life.

Exercise. Working out is always a big effort. However once you have done it you feel so great about yourself. You don't even have to do it everyday, maybe once a week or even twice if you get used to it. Yoga and walking is always an option as well if you don't want to run or do another sport.

Wake up early. Try and make a schedule and put your alarm on at a time like 8:30 am. Doing this makes you 1.) Not waste your day and 2.) Generally if you don't have a set time when you get up and have a lot of lie ins then you will feel more tired so if you put yourself in a routine then you will feel more awake!

Spring clean. Declutter your wardrobe or makeup collection. Anything that you don't want anymore you could give away to family or friends or donate it to charity. Clearing out makes you feel so much more organised and it can be quite fun. Put some music on, dance and have a good time!
